Hayle Remembrance Day

Hayle SLSC take part in many local events in the town and as always the surf club took part in the Hayle Remembrance Day Service and Parade on the 10th November.

The event started with collecting the Hayle SLSC memorial poppy wreath from St Elwyn’s church hall, then it was on to the Church for the remembrance service. After the service it was the parade where all the other local clubs and organizations go down the road to the war memorial where the wreaths are laid, the 2 minute silence is observed and the names of the fallen are read aloud.

This year it was great to see Mathew “Pezz” Perry carrying the Hayle SLSC flag, and Kaswynn and Talan laying the wreath for Hayle SLSC.

The next local event is the Hayle Winter Carnival which is taking place on Saturday 1st December Saturday 7th December at 7pm commercial road car park, judging starts at 6pm, parade at 7pm, it would be great to have as many people from the club taking part and supporting.
