Hayle Surf Life Saving Club is one of the top training centres, for the surf lifeguard award In the country. This is made out of a league table of 61 training centres,
Hayle was in the top five, Last year they trained and assessed 44 surf lifeguards, most of these club members went on to work with the RNLI on beaches around
Cornwall.

While most people were grabbing their jackets, hats and gloves, Hayle Surf Life Saving Club was putting three of its members through their paces, testing them
on their board rescue skills, spinal management, first aid and resuscitation skills. All candidates were successful, gaining them their surf lifeguard award.
