The first week of the new term is SUNDAY 29th January – odd to start a term on the last week of the month, but the pool was not originally available and now is. This autumn term runs mainly for the months of February, March, April and May. Please see the timetable and relevant costs below. Payment can be accepted by cash or cheque (payable to Hayle SLSC). Payments by instalment are available – please speak to person on the register desk or a Nipper coach. Payments are not required for sessions that have been cancelled by the club.
As on the beach, we prefer members to pay fees termly, to enable the club to manage its income and thereby keep fees very low. The fees are equivalent to £1.50 per week for nippers and sandhoppers. Whilst in the pool, nippers and sandhoppers are taught according to swimming ability, so your sandhopper may be in a group with nippers, if they swim well. We move children around until we find the right group for them, and will not wait until the end of a term to promote children who are swimming above the level of their group.

Unlike on the beach, space in the pool is limited. We already have 15 children on the waiting list, so if you no longer want your place, we will be very sorry to hear it, but please do let us know so that we can let other children in.
Penzance Leisure Centre have politely requested that, for health and safety reasons, parents watch lessons from the viewing balcony, or the reception area, and not stand on poolside. Of course, if your child needs you, please feel free to come in to re-assure them, but it is usually easier for swim teachers and coaches to keep the attention of the children if the parents aren’t on poolside. Thanks for your understanding.
