Sixteen Juniors from the Club attended the above competition achieving a brilliant 5th place overall (2nd Cornish Club again and 1 place better than last year) with the girls in 5th & the boys in 9th overall and 3 team Gold and 1 individual Bronze medal. 22 Clubs took part from all over the country with a very high standard from the competitors.
Team Manager & Junior Captain, Alan Roberts said “Sixteen of our Junior members took the long road to Cardiff International swimming pool to compete in this National Championship. In recent years their results have consistently improved and this year was no exception. With nearly all the current juniors progressing through the very successful nipper section it is a pleasure to see them all compete to such a high standard.
They have been together as a group for many years, with the older juniors reaching their 10th year with the club, and it shows in their friendship and teamwork. A special mention should go to James Burlingham and Dan Latham who have given a lot of time over the winter months to ensure they had the correct training and preparation for the event.”
