I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone that took part in this years Max Hocking Nipper Fun Day. All the Nippers who competed in far from ideal conditions, and the parents that supported them are a credit to each individual club and Surf Life Saving as a whole.
Organising the event is a big undertaking and was primarily organised by a small core team of Hayle SLSC Nipper Officers. A huge thank you to all the Hayle SLSC Nipper Officers who spent a lot of time in the weeks leading up to the event, the day before the event and had a very long and busy day on Sunday.

With the challenging sea conditions we are very grateful as always to the safety cover IRB crews who help to keep this event going, by ensuring that everyone’s safety is the top priority.

Most volunteering and helping out with sports events and teams goes without much positive feedback. But I have been overwhelmed with the Facebook messages, emails through the club website and other communication channels from members of other clubs who attended the event. I have been a member of Hayle SLSC for 20 years, and for the last 5 years I have managed and seen all of the communications that have come via social media and the website. I have never seen so many messages of thanks and congratulations for any event or race. Thank you to all the people who took the time to give feedback or said thank you to an official on the day, and lets return this favour when we attend events hosted by other clubs.

Thank you to club members, friends and relatives (from both Hayle and all the other clubs) who helped to run the event and made this introduction to Surf Life Saving Sport such a great experience for all the children involved.
