Days  Tuesdays 20.30-21.30(Carn Brea leisure centre)
Thursdays 18.00-20.00(Theory at Hayle SLSC)
Sundays 13.00-16.00(Practical at Hayle SLSC)

The first session will be on 9th March 18.00 at Hayle SLSC and the exam day will be 22nd April.

Pre-requisites Be a minimum age of 16, have the ability to swim 400m in under 7.30 minutes and run 200m in 40 seconds.

The Surf Lifeguard will provide the learner with the knowledge and skills required in order to provide professional patrolling and water services, in surf conditions, with rescue skills and advanced fitness requirements. The course is physically demanding and will include swimming to set times and lifting. The Surf Lifeguard Award is comprised of a variety of units and all must be successfully passed to attain the qualification.

At Hayle SLSC we will provide:-

Practical lifeguard skills and knowledge
Lifeguards – roles and responsibilities
Rescue techniques
Life support
First aid
All lessons will be covered by a fully trained SLSGB Trainer/Assessor

This is a fantastic opportunity for the candidate to not only gain a qualification, but to also meet new people and have fun.
